What someone can expect from St. Paul's:
You can expect a warm welcome in an open and friendly environment on your visit to St. Paul's. Whether you are a family of one, two, or more, you'll find yourself enjoying the comfortable combination of an easy-going atmosphere and a wholehearted dedication to following Jesus' call to love and serve others. Everyone is welcome here. You don't have to have God and this life all figured out before you come to St. Paul's - none of us do. But we enjoy getting together and talking about it, listening together for God's direction in our lives, and being brave enough to be there for each other through thick and thin. You can expect us to work through our differences by keeping Christ as our model for personal and group behavior, and to come out on the other side of conflict with a renewed dedication to our shared mission.
We are known for our engaging and beautiful worship services that respect tradition while also inviting a sense of awe and wonder at the power and mystery of God. We worship in community to express our thanks to God for his generous grace through the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ, being open to the inspiration of his Holy Spirit through the Bible, Holy Sacraments, sacred music and beautiful nature-inclusive building design, and individual group prayer. Our service music includes classic hymns with more modern tunes during the offertory, led by an enthusiastic choir and music minister. We use the time-honored traditional service forms, Scripture, and prayers in the Book of Common Prayer. Sunday morning worship begins at 10 a.m.
We also encourage and support each person in developing a deeply creative spirituality with God through a variety of personal habits and practices both ancient and brand new.
We believe in rolling up our sleeves and living the Good News of Jesus Christ though everything we do in our personal and shared lives, with particular awareness to work for justice and mercy for the poor and disenfranchised in today's society, and by standing up against prejudice in any form. We work, worship, study, and have fun in ministry together, believing strongly in joy as an expression of our faith.
